CO₂ calculator app

The CO₂ calculator app is a free project that I designed, inspired by a start-up event.

If we really want to stop climate change, each of us would have to start consuming less than 2 tons of CO₂. According to the WWF, the average consumption in Germany is currently around 12 tons.

The hurdle is therefore huge and almost impossible to overcome.

The idea: an app that not only provides a rough overview of a CO₂ footprint, but also counts monthly or even daily consumption. The user should be encouraged to follow a kind of CO₂ diet.

This could raise awareness of how much CO₂ we consume in our everyday lives.

Challenges

r

The user should be encouraged to use the app as often as possible.

r

The user should not feel guilty when entering the data.

r

Users should become aware of where they consume CO₂ in everyday life.

Goals

The user should be able to enter activities and consumed items quickly and easily.

Challenges and rewards are designed to encourage users to keep their CO₂ emissions low.

The user should keep track of how much CO₂ they have already consumed.
